About us

Built for the writers the system overlooks

Page & Parley is a women-led literary technology company based in the Seattle area, building a better way for fiction writers to get honest, genre-matched feedback before they publish.

Why we’re building this

The feedback infrastructure that exists for fiction writers was built around access and proximity — an MFA program, an agent, a literary scene nearby. Writers who have those connections get real readers. Everyone else is left guessing about the things that decide whether someone stays up past midnight or quietly puts the book down.

We spent the past year studying that gap — running reader and writer research and talking with people at every stage of the writing process. One finding stayed with us: when you give multiple genre-matched readers the same manuscript and the same structured questions, their honest reactions don’t scatter. They converge into a clear, usable map of what’s working and what isn’t. That map is what most writers never see. Page & Parley is built to change that.

What we’re building

Page & Parley is a two-sided community. Writers submit unpublished manuscripts and are matched with readers who actively read and love that genre. Those readers work through a structured feedback survey, and their responses are compiled into a single, AI-assisted report the writer can act on. No proprietary algorithms guessing what a book is about — just real readers, the right questions, and a clear way to see the patterns in their answers.

The platform launches in October 2026. During this first phase, participation is free while we build the community with real writers and readers.

Who we are

Cheri Marine, Co-founder & CEO. Cheri brings roughly two decades of user-experience research, including roles at Microsoft and Scopely. She leads product and research for Page & Parley.

Julie Geren, Co-founder & COO. Julie brings cross-functional experience in marketing, operations, and product management, and has worked with companies including AWS and Microsoft. She leads operations at Page & Parley. Cheri and Julie are sisters who started Page & Parley to fix a problem they kept watching capable writers run into.

Where we’re headed

Our first priority is getting the feedback experience right for writers and readers. As the platform grows, we plan to introduce paid plans for writers and compensation for the readers whose work powers the community — turning a labor of love into earned income for the people who provide it. Those are planned next-phase features, not part of the free launch.
