The validation test is the earliest stage of building Page & Parley. We're testing whether our structured feedback system works for both readers and writers. Your participation over the next two weeks helps us understand if our surveys capture meaningful insights and whether the feedback is valuable to authors.
Time commitment varies depending on how quickly you finish reading the manuscript, fill out the survey, and provide helpful and actionable feedback via the survey and discussions/interviews. Most participants can expect to spend anywhere from 2-4 hours, but this is flexible based on your reading speed and depth of engagement. Writers may take anywhere from 1-2 hours. For those participating in both roles, the time required needs to be taken into consideration.
Yes! The validation test is completely free. We're not charging for this early-stage testing because we're learning together. In the future, writers will pay for comprehensive feedback while readers will earn income for their editorial work, but validation testing participants join at no cost.
We automatically assume that all writers are also readers. However, if you join as a writer, we expect you to share an unpublished story or manuscript that can be reviewed during the validation testing. Note that NDAs will be provided to protect the author's work and intellectual property.
Based on what we learn during validation testing, we'll refine our platform and begin building out the full Page & Parley experience. Early participants will have priority access to future features and may be invited to join our Elite Reader program or continue as founding community members.
